Attributes of auxiliaryBrakes / Attribute von auxiliaryBrakes

  • brakeUse: The modes of operation the auxiliary brake is used for. There are the following possibilities
  • unknown
  • normal - as part of normal operational braking
  • emergency - as part of emergency braking
  • both - used for both normal and emergency braking
  • H: If true the brake works together with a hydrodynamical brake. This is applicable for vehicles with dieselhydraulic propulsion or hydrodynamic retarder.
  • E: If true the brake works together with an electrical brake. This is applicable for most modern vehicles with electric traction motors. However, it does not give any information, whether brake energy is recovered into the supply network or used to heat up resistors.
  • Mg: If true the brake works together with a magnetic rail brake. This is applicable for high speed vehicle or light rail cars in order to achieve a high deceleration rate independently of the wheel adhesion.
  • Wb: If true the brake works together with a eddy current brake. This is applicable for some high speed vehicles in order to achieve a high deceleration rate independently of the wheel adhesion.
  • ep: If true the brake works with an electrical activation of the pneumatic brake in order to reduce the activation time delay.
  • xs:anyAttribute(introduced with version 2.3) This provides an extension point for non-railML® attributes in a foreign namespace. How to use it?
