The element tsi contains the "standard numerical codings of locations" (external link, pdf) set by the ERA (external link) in the Annex B9 of the Telematic applications for passenger service (TAP) (external link).
The element tsi has been marked deprecated for version 2.3. Instead, the OCP shall contain a designator element, where the register PLC (Primary Location Code) can be referenced. Das Element tsi wurde mit Version 2.3 als DEPRECATED markiert. Anstelle seiner soll der OCP ein designator-Element enthalten, in welchem der Register-Eintrag PLC (Primary Location Code) referenziert werden kann.

- location: "The railway location number identifies the location within the relevant country with a five-digit code.
The 'Primary Code' shall be compulsory for all relevant locations of a Railway Undertaking or an Infrastructure Manager.
In order to assure uniqueness in one Member State of the European Union, the code shall be allocated by a national authority according to its own rules... Each 'Primary Code' shall have an unambiguous and compulsory designation which shall be defined by the national authority."
