Semantics / Bedeutung

The element <diesel> contains all data of a diesel engine used for traction.
At the moment this list is far from being exhaustive.

Das Element <diesel> beinhaltet alle Daten zur Beschreibung eines Dieselmotors als Antrieb.
Derzeit ist die Liste der Daten noch nicht ausreichend oder vollständig. Es ist auch nicht vorgesehen, dass mehrere Dieselmotoren unterschiedlicher Bauart installiert sind, die dem Antrieb dienen.

Attributes of diesel / Attribute von diesel

• count: This is the number of diesel engines of the same type installed on the vehicle for traction purpose. The use of different types on the same vehicle is not supported.

The number is considered for calculation of totals of power consumption and efficiency.

• assemblyName: This is the type description of the used diesel engine.

• nominalPower: This is the nominal power of one diesel engine in Watts.

• availableAuxiliaryPower (> 2.0): This is the power of one diesel engine in Watts leftover for supply of auxiliaries.

• fuelCapacity: This is the capacity of the fuel tank of the vehicle in litres. In case of several tanks it shall be the total sum of all.

• meanEfficiency: This is the average efficiency of the diesel engine under normal working conditions.

Efficiency values are given in the range from 0 to 1 in RailML.

Syntactic Constraints / Syntaktische Beschränkungen

All diesel engines of that vehicle have to be of the same type.
