3.0

Application

This template has been created to carry the version number of the railML® version currently develloped. The version number is a string, not a figure. Therefore it can be displayed as text and analyzed for equality, but it cannot be compared for size.

The value should be adapted, whenever a version of railML® is published. Please, check in this case, if Template:Version still functions properly!

Dependencies

This template does not depend on any other templates. It supports Template:Version_hg.

Example

This template is mainly intended to support Template:Version_hg.

Alternatively it can be employed to display the number of the upcoming version:

The current {{rml}} version is {{current}}. Version {{upcoming}} is in development.

delivers (with the state of June 2016)

The current railML® version is 2.5. Version 3.0 is in development.
